Pierantonio Project

Our project in Pierantonio focused on restoring a stunning casale, a traditional Italian cottage built in the early 1900s, transforming it into a harmonious retreat. The term “casale” refers to a rural dwelling, typically situated in the countryside, often with strong ties to the land’s agricultural roots. Our vision for Pierantonio House was to preserve its timeworn beauty, blending the rustic charm of the old stone walls and wooden beams with sleek, modern materials. The original structure has been carefully maintained, including the robust stone walls and exposed wood beams in the ceiling. These timeless elements create a strong foundation for the transformation, preserving the authenticity of the home’s heritage.

Inspired by the stunning natural landscape, we incorporated warm, earthy tones, natural materials, and sleek, modern finishes to create a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors. The open-concept living spaces are designed to foster a sense of calm and spaciousness, with large windows that flood the interiors with natural light and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

We introduced modern materials like microcement, resin, and textured plaster to balance the old with the new. The walls were finished with textured plaster, mimicking the original surfaces, creating a rustic feel that enhances the warmth and character of the house. This careful blend of old and new materials cultivates a unique atmosphere that is both cosy and inviting.

The design approach focuses on creating harmony and balance. We combined minimalist design elements, clean lines, and soft curves to complement the classic architectural features. The result is a retreat that feels both luxurious and homely, with modern furniture and design touches seamlessly integrated into the space. Each room was crafted to foster relaxation and comfort, with a timeless yet contemporary appeal.

The design embraces the Italian tradition of craftsmanship, combining classic elements with cutting-edge design. From the bespoke furniture to the carefully curated artworks, every detail has been chosen to enhance the overall aesthetic and create a home that is both stylish and comfortable.
